THE WINE GARDEN OF ENGLAND IS TO HOST A FESTIVAL OF WINE AT ROCHESTER CATHEDRAL, reports Kent Online. The festival of wine is to take place later this year and is the first major event to be hosted by the new partnership of Kent vineyards. The Wine Garden of England features seven of the County’s best known wine producers in partnership with Visit Kent. The event will be held in the crypt of Rochester Cathedral on Saturday 17th November, marking the place where – over 1,000 years ago – a monk became one of the county’s first winemakers. The ticketed event will see three two-hour sessions taking places with attendees receiving their own wine glass and sampling 30 wines. Tickets will cost £50 and go on sale in September.
