THE MARDEN FRUIT SHOW SOCIETY IS GEARING UP FOR ITS 85TH NATIONAL FRUIT SHOW IN OCTOBER, reports Farming UK. The society was founded by Lord Cornwallis, its first President, who is he was sure the new Society would be of great benefit to fruit growers in the district. The Show has gone from strength to strength, symbolised by its move from Marden to the Kent County Showground in the 80s. It is now one of the most respected and well-attended fruit commercial trade shows in the country. At the heart of this successful show is the competition fruit display with 70m of triple stacked trays of the best of British top fruit. This year the show will see new trade stands including Citrax Tractors, Strik Fruit Services, Mobitech, Besseling Group BV, AS Buildings / Torran Construction, Soil Moisture Sense and others. A few trade stand spaces are still available.
