The Digital Awards 2017 – Country Eye Mobile App

The Digital Awards were first started in 2013 with the aim to help grow the digital skillset of each county. Annually nominees attend an award ceremony where they could potentially receive awards in categories such as the best Website and best Mobile App; this year the Country Eye Mobile app has been nominated for an award.

Country Eye is a free Information Reporting App for people living and working in rural Kent, UK that records incidents and information using the mobile device’s camera and location settings. Farm and Rural Crime is often unreported, victims or witnesses feel the process is too time consuming, irrelevant or they are just unsure how to approach the situation – the app has been built to help Kent residents record an incident quickly  and report information easily. The Country Eye team aim to provide valuable information to Kent Police about the patterns of crime in the countryside.
